You can remove a status from a project by removing the status from the workflow or workflows used in the project.

Make sure the workflow is not used in other projects, as it will impact all projects using the workflow.

I want to parse the statuses used in a project so that our integration team knows that those specific statuses are used in Jira for that project.

Check the workflows used in the project, these determine the statuses that can be used in a project, per issue type.

Even bulk getting the status won't solve your issue, as different issue types can use a different workflow, so not even all found status would mean they could be used for every issue type

You can look at the API to get all statuses in the system, but it will not tell you which project.
