How to set default DueDate based on issue priority?

Thyagaraj Gopalakrishna August 5, 2019

Can anyone guide me to the right direction?. I'm looking to achieve the following.

  • Set default DueDate to 1 day while creating the ticket if Priority is Critical
  • Set default DueDate to 3 days while creating the ticket if Priority is Major

Is this possible with the stock Jira Cloud configuration without installing any additional add-ons/plugins?.

Any help is appreciated!

You would want to look at an addon like Automation for Jira, Scriptrunner, Power Scripts, etc.

Thank you. I will check it out if any of them are open source

Hello @Thyagaraj Gopalakrishna

Out of the box it's not possible, if oyu have a paid plugin like script runner then you can follow this example and implement what you want.

Looks like updating the issue's dueDate through Rest api at some scheduled interval is the option left for me.
