How to set field hidden during a workflow transition

When my issue transition to next step. I want to change some filed to hidden or dispaly.

How could I do it ?

If you want to change the behavior of a field during the workflow you will need an addon like Scriptrunner.

 I am not proficient in Scriptrunner.

I need this functionality:

when I click "To do" , I want Depart field to be hidden. 

and go to the next step ,click "In Progress" ,and hope that Depart field is displayed.

How could do this?

Can you give an example ?
