How to set up Onboarding using a Jira Software Kanban board?

I am new to Jira, and we are using Jira Software Kanban boards to organize and track our work. My first Kanban board goal is setting up and (hopefully) automating our onboarding process for future employees. I am aware of the Business Project templates that are available through Jira Core, but we don't want to use them. I'm looking for advice on customizing a Kanban board for Onboarding. Any thoughts?

Hi @Ollie Guan , I have researched these posts before but I am completely new to Jira/Confluence, and a lot of these terms and explanations don't make sense to me. I need help on the 'how-to for dummies' level, from the ground up.
