Hi Jira Community!
We have set up a Kanban board, where each column represents a step in our process. Each of these steps has a certain estimated duration of XX days. This duration is different for each step (=column).
We would now like to set up custom notification to the current assignee, if an issue has been in a column for more than the estimated XX days. Unfortunately, we can't figure out how to set up such a notification. Would be awesome if someone could point us in the right direction ...
Thanks,
Christian
Hi Christian,
for a nearly identic requirement/use case I came across an implementation using Adaptavist ScriptRunner (App from Marketplace).
Apart from ScriptRunner there might be further Apps available from Marketplace.
Without any additional App you could start with "Filter Subscriptions" as explained in this overview:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/automatic-escalation-of-issues-612959361.html
Cheers,
Daniel
Hi Daniel!
Thanks for the quick reply! We will give Adaptavist ScriptRunner a try ...
Could you provide any further hint on the function or script we will need to use? Or will I find this well explained straight in the documentation anyway ...
(sorry for my beginner question, but I'm quite new to JIRA).
Thanks a lot for your support!
Cheers,
Christian

Hi Christian,
a common way to accomplish it is the "Escalation Service" (https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/5.6.12.1-p5/jira/escalation-service.html).
Cheers,
Daniel
