Hi Team,
Suppose we've a project and a scrum board within it. Is there any way to share board with the users?
We don't want to add those users in project. Please let us know the way so that we can only give permission to access only board, not whole project.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Narendra
Hi @Narendra Kumar ,
You could give access to the board to a group or a project role. But users need the "browse project" to see issues on the board, and in that case they would be able to see the whole project.
So the best solution would be to use a group custom field on the issues that you want these users to see. Add this custom field to the Browse project permission. Add the users to a specific group and select this group in the group custom field.
Hi @Antoine Berry second part of your answer seems similar to issue security scheme for issues. So, if we don't apply this concept, alternatively we've to give "Browse Projects" permission atleast to users. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You have it right - in order for people to see cards on a board, they need to be able to see the issues that the cards represent in the project.
Your users need "browse project" to see the issues and hence cards.

It is similar to issue security indeed, but sort of reversed. With issue security you select a value to further filter users who can see the issue. In that case you select a value to allow users in that group to see the issue.
