How to show a single epic in a roadmap

Hi,

I'm looking at the roadmap feature (BETA) and wondered if it is possible to show progress for only a single epic rather than all epics held within the project.

This is to update individual business stakeholders on progress but without overwhelming them with information on all projects currently in flight.

thanks

Hello Sarah,

On the Roadmap, it's possible to filter some Epics and show only the ones Assigned to you and by Status.

Also, it's possible to show only Completed or Incompleted Epics (or all).

Other than that, there is no other option to filter Epics on the Roadmap, but since it's a Beta version, more features will be available in the future.

Feel free to create a suggestion on jira.atlassian.com (project JSWCLOUD) adding more details about the filters that you need and why it's important for your environment.

Regards,
Angélica

Thank Angélica - so there will be circumstances where we show the entire board roadmap to a group of senior stakeholders. The next level of stakeholders may only have interest in the progress of a  single epic or 2-3 epics.

Do initiatives work on this roadmap view? Would it be possible to create some initiatives to group the epics by and filter down to a single initiative containing a few epics?

thanks

Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I'm afraid not. The options that I mentioned in my previous response are the ones available on Roadmap Beta.

I see that your site has Jira Software premium where Advanced Roadmaps is available.

With Advanced Roadmaps, you can create private teams where you can share some Epics, so maybe this is an option since Roadmap Beta doesn't have many filters.

Thanks for your help - yes, we have upgraded to see if we can leverage some of the functionality in the advanced roadmaps as we were struggling to get anything meaningful from the beta version. The 'filter by' function in advanced roadmaps looks to be helpful though. Thanks again
