How to sort custom calculation number field value ?

Hi,

I am using below JQL queries to sort issues by custom calculation number field values:

1.custom_field is not EMPTY ORDER BY custom_field DESC

2.project = abc ORDER BY custom_field ASC

But none of them are working. Please see the screen shot below:
