In case of creating an issue from the email received by mail server how to enable notification sent to the sender of the mail?
@Andreas I created a notification scheme and assigned the project to the notification scheme. now I am expecting whenever ticket gets created through the mail it receives. notification mail has to be sent to the reporter that is not working.
could you please tell me what can be the reason of notification mail not getting triggered to reporters?
i have configured in my notification scheme that on the creation of ticket reporters will be receiving mail.
If the issue is created with the correct reporter it should be sent. Make sure the reporter doesn't have their profile set to receive notifications for actions they take to no. I always set it to no as a default when creating new users.

From the information you gave it not clear to me what you're trying to achieve here. Do you want to stop JIRA from sending notifications or do you want to enable notification sent to the sender of the mail
Could you explain in more detail?
In general notifications are controlled via JIRA notification schemes. These schemes are in general configured globally and can be assigned to projects individually. See Atlassians documentation on Creating a notification scheme.
By removing someone/ a project role/ a group of users from the "Issue Created" event you can prevent JIRA from sending notifications in case a new issue is created. The same goes for the Issue Updated event.

@Andreas I wanted to start sending a notification to the user after the ticket is created from the mail.

Ok, that should be covered by the "Issue Created" event.
And who should receive the notification?
Btw. JIRA doesn't care how the issue has been created. The notification will also trigger if an issue is created over the web interface.

First, are reporters notified upon creation? Are the senders current JIRA users? If so they would be put in the reporter field and would follow the notification of reporter. If not, the email handler can create a new ID or you can choose a default reporter. If not a current user and you choose not to create a new user the notification scheme won't send anything.
