I'm a Jira admin that have loaded many issues from CSV files, although I was careful to change the Reporter in all of this issues and also have stopped watching all this issues but I still receive notifications. Is an issue creator an automatic watcher for that issue? I just can't find a way to stop receiving notifications, I hope someone can help me.
Regards, André Lara.
Hello,
You should define first why you receive notifications. If you receive notifications because you are a watcher, then you should remove yourself from watchers.
Thanks Alexey for your reply, but this is exactly my question, why I'm receiving notifications if I'm not the assignee, neither a reporter nor a watcher, but I'm the creator of the issue.

There is no such option as to receive notifications as a creator. Have a look at your project notification scheme. Maybe you are in a group or a role, which is defined for notifications.

Tanks again for your fast reply Alexey, take a look at my notification scheme below, there are no groups or roles, only the 'All Watchers', 'Current Assignee' and Reporter.
What do you recommend next? Maybe open a support issue in Atlassian so they can look deeper?
Regards, André.

I will jump in w/ a couple of thoughts here...

Thanks Jack for your reply, regarding your thoughts:
1 - Yes, I've checked (and re-checked) and I'm not the reporter, the watcher neither the assignee. Below is the People section in the issue:
2 - This is indeed a weird behaviour, but it fits with your experience as I did import this issue (and many others), take a look in the picture below with all issue activities (just for reference today is 21/Jun/2018):
This is the notification email I got on 18/Jun/2018:

yes seems odd. reading the above:
but what is further odd is that update notifications = all watchers and current assignee NOT the reporter which would seem to say the system sees you as a watcher but you are not.
I'm a bit perplexed on this for sure and need to contemplate it further but before i go...
what does the notification helper say for that issue when updated when you are the user? I expect it will say not notified.
@Alexey Matveev, any further thoughts from you on this?

another thought... do you have any suspect plugins, e.g. Notification Assistant?
