I’m trying to figure out how to track points on issues with a specific label.
I want to track how many points were completed in the sprint and how many I have left to go.
Is there a report or a filter that will show me such information?
Hello @Tsega Yaseem
Welcome to the community.
You can add a quick filter to the board to reduce the display to the subset of issues that have that label. When you apply the filter, the summation lozenges above the sprint in the backlog screen will change to show the totals for the issues included in the filter. Here is an example.
In this image I have not applied any filter. Notice the story point total is 8.
In this image I applied a filter to select only the issues that include "Component1". Notice the story point total changed to 3.
sounds nice but how can i select where on labels?

Create a Quick Filter and enter in the JQL to select issues based on the Label you want to use. Quick Filters are defined in the Board Settings (accessed by the ... button in the upper right corner of the board). Only a Board Administrator for the board can create a Quick Filter.

welcome to the community!
If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, this would also be easy to do using the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a wide range of advanced features, including support for issue grouping by any issue field(s), as well as sum-ups.
With these, you can build a view like this in just a couple of clicks:
You can configure different sum-up styles (e.g., sum, avg, etc.), and also use your story point aggregations across JXL's other advanced features, such as nested groupings (e.g. by sprint and label), (configurable) issue hierarchies, or conditional formatting. As you can see above, you can always work on your issues directly in JXL, but also trigger various operations in Jira, or export your data with just one click.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
