How to track progress of test steps in Jira add-on X-ray

Sanjay Mukherjee February 21, 2022

In X-Ray tool, If i have large number of test steps (>50 to 100) for integrated Test Scenarios, while we have gadgets to track overall Test level progress, is there any way to track progress of Test at STEP level for completion %age of each Tests?

I am looking at something similar to Test-Sets but at Step level. Please suggest if this is possible?

Hi @Sanjay Mukherjee ,

Within the test execution (where the test run itself is located) this can be tracked. The column "TestRun Progress" shows the percentage of completed steps (--> see screenshot)

Hope this helps and fits your requirement.

Hello Stefan, In this same context, may i ask your help, just like how we can see the Progress %age (TestRun Progress) within the Test Executable window, which works for me. However I am not able to draw this into my Dashboard Reports as I was not able to find any built-in Gadget that shows me TestRun Progress. Also tried Test Execution List etc.. Do we have any Gadget that will show this when we want it on a Dashboard? Please  let me know which Gadget can show this?TestRunProgress.JPG

Hi @Sanjay Mukherjee ,

I´m afraid there is no gadget that will show testRun progress (at least I don´t know of any and couldn´t find one).

Sorry, this time I cannot provide a straight forward solution.

Did you use the community search?? maybe someone already had this question before. If not you could create a new question to gather information from the community.

Best
Stefan
