Dear All,
I am working with Atlassian plugin "Portfolio for Jira" which has two custom fields ("Target start" and "Target end").
I want to change configure of these fields to my field configuration scheme, but they are locked.
Usual way to unlock custom field is useless as this fields not in table "managedconfigurationitem" (https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/unlock-a-locked-jira-software-custom-field-779158866.html).
They are locked for a reason - to stop us mis-configuring them!
Could you tell us what you are really trying to do? Why do you think you want to unlock them?
Hi, @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- I need to add these fields to the output screen, but only to selected projects. I want to check if it is possible to add context to the field.

What do you mean by "output screen"?
I know I am thinking and talking in Jira-speak, but I can't logically map "output screen" onto a Jira (reporting) function, so I do not know what you might mean here.
Sticking with the "jira speak", a context is "what projects and/or issue types this is for" and those fields are locked to a global context to stop people removing them and hence breaking Portfolio.
If you want to get rid of them in projects that are not going to use portfolio, use the field configuration to hide them, or remove them from the view, create and edit screens.

Hi @Kate - The short answer is that you can't. These are locked fields and there's nothing you can do about that. Your alternative would be to leverage different custom date fields. You can change the plan settings to use any date fields for Start/End Dates.
