How to use custom message field (view) on transition screen

HI All

I want to use  custom message field (view only ) on transition screen along with comment.

Comment seems to be populating. but not message.

Can anyone help me with this.

How exactly have you configured the message field?

Can you check:

• That you have the field on your transition screen
• That the field has text in the default value
• What type of field it is - message for view, or message for edit?

You can't do that with out of the box functionalities. Maybe with a 3rd party app?

I think they are talking about the message fields provided by the Jira Toolkit app (Atlassian, free, and installed in Cloud automatically)

It worked when I used custom message field (edit only ) instead of (view only ) on transition screen.
