I am a site admin in Jira but still can't access a private project...why??

How can I delete the private projects in my Cloud based instance of Jira?

@Shadia Hasan Go Project and Click on Three dots(...) then you can see the project settings, Click on the Project Setting then you can enter into the project. and delete it, Make sure backup the project before deleting the project if required.
