I am creating a new workflow as part of a schema in place.  (Software simplified default schema).  When I attempt to add the workflow to the current schema and assign it an issue type I get the following message.  

The current status of each issue needs to be changed so that it is compatible with the new workflows. 

Under Issue Type it has the issue type and the # 0 next to it.  I have read I can just bypass this screen and move on since the # of issues impacted is 0 (Zero) but I am afraid it will impact my default workflow.  

I am basically setting up a workflow for Testing that is a simple triage and resolution workflow.  I only want that workflow to be related to the one issue type. 

Please advise.

Hello,

I guess, you created a new workflow and now you want to associate one issue type or several issue types to this new workflow. Upon publishing the new workflow scheme, you ve been asked to associate some issues to the new workflow. It will not influence your default workflow. It just will move all issues with the required issue types to the new workflow.

OK so basically since its a brand new issue type with zero issues I can ignore this step and just hit next?

If it is a new issue type and you associate a new workflow to this issue type, then you can just hit the Next button.
