I can't change the issue status when editing it

I created the workflow and configured the board exactly how I need it. When editing the issue, I cannot change the status through the edit screen. This is only possible by moving the card around the board. I would like to have the option to change the status when editing the issue. I've already checked the "status" field in the screen configuration and at first everything is fine.

NOTE: I can view the status through the issue viewing screen, I just cannot change it through the editing screen.

The Status field can not be directly edited from the Issue Detail View that shows within the board when you click on a card. 

The Status can be changed only from the full issue view screen that opens when you click on the issue key, and can only be changed using the status changing buttons.

Perfect, I found it here. I remember using another version of Jira that allowed you to change the status when editing the card, but I believe it was the Cloud version or older then.
