Hello everyone,
In this simple automation my goal is to assign the issue to "Roysten" and get the new assignee smart-value afterwards (during execution).
Ps: In this example below, I was the initial issue assignee before triggering the automation - and I wanted to assign the issue to Roysten.
Problem: for some reason I can't get the new assignee value = ROYSTEN - as it can be seen in the log, it is returning me (Wesley). I want to be able to get a smart value that returns Roysten during execution.
Post-execution: in fact, the issue is assgined to Roysten when the execution finishes - however I need that value during execution to be able to use it for another purposes.
What may I be missing here guys? I've tried to find other related posts, and looked up the smart values documentation to understand what's happening but couldn't get it. Could you help me, please? Thank you a lot.
Your suggestion worked perfectly - as can be seen below:
I added the re-fetch function just after the assign action and it's working fine.
I didn't know this function existed - and I got surprised that the example Jira provides is similar to what I was facing.
Thank you a lot @Hana Kučerová
