Hello everyone,
I have created a software project in Jira and it seems that I am unable to create a "Initiative" issue type. I can only see "Epic, Story, Sub-task, Task and Bug". There is no way for me to edit the available issue types in my project.
I have already gone to Project Settings and Issues but there is no option to add any issue types.
Could you please let me know how to proceed?
Thank you.
Hi Corrado - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What type of project is this? Team-managed? Company-managed?

Very good - thank you.
You should check to see if that issue type has been created yet. Go to Settings (gear icon in the upper right) > Issues > Issue types
If Initiative has not been created, then you to to create it as an Issue Type.
Then go to Issue Type Schemes. Find the Scheme used by your project. Then edit the scheme to add the Initiative issue type to the scheme.
Then you should be able to create Initiatives.

I get this message: "You do not have access to Jira settings or Atlassian admin, contact your Jira admin to grant you access."
How can I check who my Atlassian admin. is?

Ah - yes you need to be a Jira Admin. Ask around in your company - maybe start with IT. There is not a standard way in Jira to identify the admins.

@John Funk you are faster than me finding my active tabs in the browser :).
Just adding the screenshots if someone finds this useful in the future.
