I cannot @mention my teammates in comments

I cannot @mention my teammates in comments. I can see teammates and tickets and I can be tagged. But the @ command just doesn't properly pull up anything.

This is the case for all February hires at my company - but folks who started a while ago have no issues. Is this a Jira issue or permission issue? The IT team/Jira Admins from my company aren't seeing anything different on their end.

Any suggestions?

The @ mention is controlled by a global permission, Browse Users, and can only be updated/changed by your Jira admins.
