I renamed my board. When I visit the backlog or the roadmap, the new name of the board populates the name of the tab/window in my browser. But the old name of the board populates the name of the window in my browser ONLY when I am on the board itself (i.e. my active Sprint board). How can this be fixed?
I've cleared cache on my side but this issue persists -- it appears it's a caching issue on your guys's side.
It's a pretty terrible user experience, as the name "GS Board" means nothing to me, so during the workday as I am navigating across windows and tabs, I rely on the name of the window/tab to tell me where I need to navigate to. Since "GS Board" doesn't mean anything to me, I end up clicking through more tabs than I otherwise would if the name of the window corresponded to what I am looking for (i.e. "Genioo Shape").
Hi Analucia Martinez,
It's important to realize the difference between your Project Name and your Board Name.
Genioo Shape is the name of your project, however your Board (which you can have many under a single project) is named GS.
For next-generation projects you can simply edit the name of the board by clicking the Board link and then clicking the board name and it can be edited inline.

For classic projects, you'll goto the board, click the Board settings under the ...
Under the general tab, you'll see board name. This can be edited inline as well.
Hopefully this helps!
Stephan, thank you for the response but this doesn't actually address the issue. In the version of Jira Cloud that we have, I don't have the ability to inline edit the way you show on your side.

In fact, I recorded another video that shows the issue more starkly. Notice how the name of the window on my browser itself doesn't update to the new board name when I click on "Board" but it does update for the roadmap & the backlog view.

On the first response regarding the inline issue. That is odd and should be working, let me see if I can find more details about it.
On your second Video, you are in your PROJECT SETTINGS and changing your project name, not the board name. Again, a project can have lots of boards, each with their own name.
Give me a little bit and I'll see if I can dig a little deeper. Keep in mind, I am also at work :)

Okay, so looking further into it, once you create a sprint in a new generation project the title will not be inline editable and reflects the sprint name.
Once you complete your sprint, you'll be able to edit your board name inline.

Stephan,
It was a long time but now that I finally completed that sprint, I was able to inline edit the board name. Funky functionality there on next gen projects. Not very user friendly, but thank you so much for going the extra mile and explaining it to me!
Happy holidays!

Analucia,
Not a problem at all! I think it will become more user friendly after you've understood it. Somethings take some adaptability, but can make a remarkable difference when understood.
Of course, it's nearly impossible to make a one-size-fits-all and be 100% successful at all applications.
I am glad you were able to finally change the name and hopefully can customize the workflow a little more to your liking knowing how it works!
I love being able to learn things about Jira that I've yet to come across, so I love hearing about others problems and finding ways to solve them and add that knowledge to our arsenal!
If you could go ahead and accept my answer, that would be greatly appreciated!
Have wonderful holidays and enjoy your time with your family!

Hi @Stephan Shere - This link https://www.loom.com/share/176151f0852f4525ac7ae1e05b4fedac no longer works and I have the same issue. Can you please point me to a resource to resolve this issue?

Hi Marcy, I just saw this, have you been able to resolve this issue?
You simply need to go to the board settings as described in my message.
