Hi guys, I am new to Jira, but I have been successful in installing it on a vps. However, to complete the setup, I am to access localhost:port.
Since it's on a vps, I'm having a challenge on accessing this, even when using the server-ip:port.
I'm not sure of the best way to handle this. I'll very much appreciate your assistance.
Hey Benedict,
Chances are that the 8054 port to finish the setup isn't exposed to the internet. Unsure who your VPS provider is, but it's common practice with cloud providers to not expose anything by default and the users have to explicitly whitelist.
Check the VPS' firewall options and make sure that TCP8054 is exposed for that server.

Hi Craig,
Thank you very much for your response. My vps is hosted by Vultr.
I have enabled TCP on port ( and range) 80 on my VPS firewall, but still unable to access.
I'm not really sure what else I have to do.

Hi Benedict,
Do the same thing you did for 80 but for 8054 (temporary setup port).
