I have one doubt on adding a workflow to project

Rakesh Gokuldas November 20, 2022

Hi,

I want to change one of my project workflows. I have created one new workflow scheme and added the workflow. Now I will change it from the project using the switch scheme and associate the workflow scheme.
Before proceeding with this, I need confirmation that the steps I followed here are correct. The existing workflow has already changed with multiple projects. So switching the scheme won't affect other projects.

Hi @Rakesh Gokuldas ,

welcome to the Atlassian community!

If you change a workflow scheme in a project, a jobs will adapt all the existing issues to the new workflows. It means that if an existing issue is in a status no longer existing on the new workflow version, you need to manually add a mapping form old not existing status to the new existing status.

This is a wizard that will address you in the right way. If there are no impacts, no mappings will be displayed during that procedure.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

So, using the switch scheme option won't affect any other project right ?

Switch scheme will affect just project in which you are performing that operation
