I have only one user in my group i would like to know the impact of deleting group in Jira

Hello team

I read that deleting group from Jira can impact data shown by users , I do not understand exactly what is the impact if I delete a group ?

A group could be used by some of the schemes (permissions, notifications etc).  If you delete a group, then it will be removed from those schemes, which may stop emails, remove the groups access to projects and so-on.

You may also have used the group in workflow functions - if that has happened, the workflow will fail when it tries to transition.  Similarly for listeners, services (and automations and scripts if you have any of them)

Finally, saved searches using the group will fail, but users will be given an error message when they try to use them.

Thank you very much , now I would like to know if deleting group can impact shared filter or shared board also the watched issue ??

Good point, yes, those can be affected too - if you have set the access for a board or filter to a group, and you delete it, then the access for that group will go away.

It won't affect watchers - they're done purely by individual users.
