I need to edit an active workflow that is shared by multiple projects

I have a workflow that is shared across 6 projects.  I want to edit the active workflow but only for 1 project.  I used to be able to add a different scheme but now JIRA takes me out of the project and into the global settings, which would change it for all

@Jenny MattsonYou cannot change workflow  in active state, it has to be inactive.

Make a copy of this  workflow  scheme used in multiple  project,

Make a copy of workflow which you want to modify  after modifying it,

Associate workflow  to workflow  scheme adding the issue type that will use this workflow,

Then  associate the workflow  scheme to  this 1 project, this way 5 other  project a left in peace.

best!

So a copy of both the scheme and the workflow is needed, I see.  I was hoping to get away with one or the other.  Thanks for the tips, I will try this and circle back!
