I need to have two priority list in a project; each containing the default priority list icons.

I am working with a team who is requesting two priority lists on their project; the second priority list would more or less be a duplicate of the default priority list including the icons found in the system field priority list. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, you can not create in same format.

Create a new select list custom field and add to your project.

Just to clarify, in the new select list custom field there is no current way to replicate the atlassian icons found in the system field?

No way. You might search for add-on in the marketplace but I haven't heard a solution.
