I need to split hierarchy wise my issue types into 5 categories but in jira we have 3 like epic, story and subtask.
For this I need a free app to categorise those 5 in a hierarchical order like
Lob
Impediment
Epic
Story
Subtask
Are you sure you need 5 vertically sorted issue types? Impediment doesn't sound something that would be sorted above Story but rather next to it. You've got labels, versions, components etc. to sort issues horizontally.
In my experience, 3 levels are enough, especially when you're on a free plan.
You could always use issue links for more dependencies between different issue types/issues.
Hello @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_ yes I need 5 vertically sorted issue types. is there any add-on for that.

Hi @Vivek Challa,
if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies. These issue hierarchies can based on Jira's built-in parent/child relationships (like task/sub-task, or epic/story), and/or based on issue links.
This is how this looks in action for a hierarchy of 5 levels (you can have any number of levels):
Issue hierarchies also work in combination with JXL's many other advanced features, such as support for issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, conditional formatting, or Excel-style bulk editing via copy/paste.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes

If you are open for a mktplace solution, we have built an app for the same use case.
Through this app you can create your own hierarchy using issue Links upto 10 level. Do Try it out.
