I modified our screens to meet the requirements of the BA (creating custom fields for importing legacy issues). Now, when I use the External System Import I no longer see Status in the Map Fields screen. I went to the Fields List in Settings and I do not see Status listed.
I needed to delete this question, but cannot see how. Please disregard.

I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure it was a user (me) error. I would normally update with how I fixed it otherwise. My apologies as I know this doesn't help you. I was new to using the external import.
