I want to open & close sprints from a Primary board

I have an engineering project that has 7 team boards. I need to open & close sprint for all of the boards from a Primary Board.  I had a Jira Admin who did this at a prior company so I know it can be done, just don't know how to do it myself.

Hi @Nancy Polani ,

Do these 7 teams each have their own sprints with different start and end dates?

1. Create a JQL filter containing the issues from the 7 teams you would like to see in your primary board.
2. Create a board for yourself with this JQL filter.
3. Manage the sprint(s) from this board.

Sprints aren't dependent on a specific board or project.
