I want to remove the hyperlink from parent ID

Hi,

I would want to remove the hyperlink that is created by the smart value {{issue.parent.key}} which has a hyperlink to the parent issue. I just want the key to be in normal plain text. This is causing problems when I am trying to export data to excel from my dashboard plugin where the exported data is in the form of a HTML code in the parent ID field

Any combination of string operations smart values can do this job?

I don't think that the automation rules put out the parent key as a hyper link - at least that isn't the behavior that I see. Are you just saying that when you go to export the parent value from a dashboard it comes as a hyperlink?

Thanks for your reply.

I figured out that Jira automatically recognizes issue keys and hyperlinks the key value to the parent task. For eg, even if I manually type the issue key in the custom text field as ABC-123, it automatically recognizes this and hyperlinks it.

Is there a setting that can prevent this?

I don't believe so - I found a feature request that you could vote for.
