I want to set the value set in a custom field to a component.

I want to use jira automation to set the value selected in the custom field Select List (multiple choices) to the component.

The custom field has only one value. Is it possible to set that value to the component?

Hi @koutarou ishibashi Yes, it is possible through automation rule, you need to make sure that the value option you have for the custom field lets say "ABC" then you should have the component is already present/created in that project with same name "ABC" so that when creating a automation rule you can map that component value to the field value you selected in the automation rule for issue created event or field value change event, 

please check attached screenshot for example and update it as per your requirements

In that case, you need to create as many rules as there are options for custom fields, so the more options you have, the more difficult it will be.
Is there a way to copy the value of a custom field to a component? Is there any other better way?
