Thank you @Thomas Schlegel , if I edit the workflow and re-order the transition, would it affect the current status of the issues in my project? My 2nd question is, On my Dashboard the order is not in the status of our development lifecycle, is it possible to amend this order on the dashboard ?

No, as long as you do not remove any status or change anything else in your transitions, there will be no changes except the order of your transitions on your issue screen.

The order of the status within the dashboard gadgets is determined by the order of your status on the status administration screen:

You have to change the order there.

i expect we can. but need to know what you have and what you want.

If you are simply wanting to change the progression of your workflow between the statuses then you need to edit the workflow and simply drag the transition around. depending on the details I would likely suggest that you make a copy, edit the copy and then associate it to the issuetypes. You will need to be an admin. Here is an article that might help - workflows
