If in a Transition of sub task can use the post fuction "Create / Clone issue(s) (JMWE add-on)" to create a sub task

Yes, you can create a Clone of a Sub-task. Both would be linked to the same parent.

My understanding of that function is that it can either

• Clone the current issue into the same project
• Create a new issue
• Create a sub-task on the current issue

Point 3 cannot work here, because you cannot have a sub-task of a sub-task, and there's nowhere to tell the post-function which parent issue to use (unless maybe it assumes the parent of the current sub-task?  I've not tested that)
