My whole JIRA software, JIRA Service management, and Confluence deployment is not going to happen simply because images are not possible on classic JIRA cards. How is this not possible with all these resquests? Thumbnails are not the same, our mechanical and design engineers will not accept JIRA without the ability to see these images on the cards (multiple images) just like in Trello.
Is there any BETA plans for this? I really need to have JIRA deployed ...
Hi @Ghassan Alkhatib this may not be relevant to you anymore but may help others. I am in the middle of merging two Jira instances, one of the projects has to change to a Company Manged project from a Team Managed one and they use card cover images. In Company Managed projects you are able to show an image on the card on the Jira board.
Configure board>Card Layout>Add field 'Images'
The card on the board will pick one image, the first attachment on the ticket. I can't see a way of adding multiple images, but this works for my project team. One addition I would like to have is to be able to click and view the image from the card on the board. To do this you have to open the card and click on the image to see it in full. I'm going to raise a support ticket for that.
Have a look at this related thread - the feature is available in team managed projects, but indeed not in classic.
If you say you really need to have Jira deployed, there must be something it offers that you are lacking in Trello. If the need is real, I am sure you should be able to make a case based on the benefits you are looking for over the presence of pictures on cards. Depending on your needs, using team managed project might help in bridging the gap.
Hope this helps!

The need is absokutely real. JIRA software is very capable. The need for the images showing on the cards stems from the usecase in Trello with all mechanical engineers and many electrical sharing drawings images about the issues that specific card is relaying. The feature is invaluable. I will take a look but I do need it in the normal sprint view or classic view.

Check, @Ghassan Alkhatib. Be aware that you can perfectly add attachments to your issues. They can - in many cases - be previewed right from the issue view. The only capability I see missing, is that they are not displayed on the card cover on the team board. But if I had to choose between being able to plan sprints with my team vs having an image on each card on the board, I'd know what basket to lay my eggs in 😉 ...
I have tried to find a feature request for this in the public backlog, but - honestly - haven't been able to find one (except a very old one for the server platform that was never resolved). You could try to raise the request with Atlassian support (https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/).

Thank you so much @Walter Buggenhout I do need the images displayed and not just attached; I just think that Atlassian does not really grasp the value of such a feature. I am really not sure why it is not implemented given they have it very well implemented in Trello.
