Import subtask in JIRA

NehaNagori May 15, 2017

I am using JIRA 6.1, I Want to upload a fresh project csv file. But it contains subtask also. When I Imported the file, it imported all subtask as a subtask of epic, not of task. Can anyone tell me how to import subtask?

Your source data needs to include a column for the parent issue key, then JIRA will understand that they're under specific tasks.

Hi Nic,

Thanks for replying. I did that. But while mapping I didn't understand that to which field of JIRA it will map. Can you please share a sample format?

Hi Nic,

I did like this.

Summary                              Key Issue                               IssueType
Azure API Manager               TP-500                                  TASK
AnalyzeManager, TP-500      TP-501                                    Sub-task
Test making Services, TP-500 TP-502                                  Sub-task

But this is not working.
