Importing Issues: I can't set Status or Resolution

Jonathan Spink November 8, 2021

We are moving from another platform and want to import our issues to JIRA. But I can't see either Status or Resolution on the list of target fields. Is this intentional?

Hello @Jonathan Spink ,

As suggested by the KB, you should be able to import this data using "Status" and "Resolution" as column headers in your CSV file.

Please make sure the values are valid for your project before importing.

Thanks, but they never appear in the list of Standard Fields which you can map to. Is there a reason why they wouldn't be displayed there? I only get

  • Issue Type
  • Components
  • Description
  • Fix Versions
  • Summary
  • Reporter
  • Priority
  • Labels
  • Environment
  • Affect Versions
  • Assignee

Unfortunately I do not have access to a cloud instance, but the above KB is for cloud so you should be able to map them. If you are in doubt, please try to import a single issue and check if the data has correctly been imported.

On server, they appear correctly :

My solution is to use bulk update once the records are all imported. Anyway, thanks for your help.
