Hi, I am doing setting my new JIRA project and connecting Slack and JIRA via JIRA Cloud app on Slack.
The thing is that I added custom field(multi-line text) in Bug type issue. but It couldn't be delivered when JIRA bot shows ticket information. and the comments wasn't also.
I selected 'show entire text for summary, description, comment and work log' in Slack integration page. but JIRA bot still delivers Ticket Title and work log
Hello, welcome to the Community!
Unfortunately the fields sent in the message to Slack cannot be customized currently. The only option is to choose between the "truncated" and "show entire text for summary, description, comment and work log" styles as you mentioned. We have an open feature request to allow you to select custom fields to be added to the message: API-95 . Voting on this feature request helps prioritize the request against other potential features for the integration.
While this feature isn't currently available in the official Jira Cloud for Slack app, there are other Slack connectors on the Atlassian Marketplace which allow you to fully customize the message sent to Slack. You can have a look at some of those connectors here and see if one of them may have other features you're interested in, on top of being able to customize the message.
Cheers,
Daniel
Thank you for kind reply Eads! :)
