In the Scrum Board Velocity Report, how do you get the commitment time to activate?

Which field is it that activates it or is it a system option setting?

Hi @joe stewart welcome to the Atlassian community.

Here's the information about Velocity Commitment: The gray bar for each sprint shows the "total estimate of all issues in the sprint when it begins". After the sprint has started, any stories added to the sprint, or any changes made to estimates, will not be included in this total.
