Is there a way in JIRA to show extra information when you move your mouse cursor over certain fields? For example, can you make a pop-up appear with more details about what "Analyze/Design" means when you hover over the column titles on a Kanban board?
@bjorn.einar.nylund It is not possible to customize the tooltip content, I'm afraid.
What problem are you trying to solve with this?
It would be nice to have a "pop-up" window to explain headlines/titles for fields and columns that you use in JIRA. For instance: What does it mean to put a User Story in DONE status. By moving the mouse cursor over the DONE headline, information could be displayed that explains the DONE status in details for JIRA users.

Hello @bjorn.einar.nylund
With jira native you can't customize the tooltip
I use Colored label manager to manage my labels and my custom fields , i add a brief description for each custom field , also in the case of the name of fields i add a quick description in case it's not very clear for the users
So don't hesitate to try it .

If you are an admin, you can add notes in admin view to the tips. There used to be a little i you would mouse over for more info. You can also create team pages/dashboards. Not sure if those are going away in May.
