Hey, I just logged in to my Jira without having changed anything in the settings and when I'm in the backlog, clicking "Create issue" doesn't allow me to create issues inline, it opens the window and really slows me down. Does it have anything to do with the recent maintenance or am I missing something?
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Its quite possible that the change Board and backlog enhancements has rolled out to your site.
Within Product updates, you can view real-time release timeframes showing when a feature will become available or released to your products.
To view when your organization’s product will get a change:
Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Products > Product updates.
Select the release note from the product updates list.
View the Release timeframe on the right of the screen.
For organizations with multiple sites, if any of your products are on the bundled or preview release track, select View release schedule.
There may not be much we can do about this change, so it seems that moving forward is the best course of action.
Ok, but as for my feedback, looks like a huge step backwards :/ For a long time, the only problem with Jira as compared to other tools used to be the lack of inline adding when creating project drafts with massive amounts of issues and only then adding the details and I was happy to see that this was resolved a couple years ago, but now it's back to this sloooow way of doing things. :/

I'm 100% with Martin on this one. It was just perfect inline :/

I'm with Martin and Juan here. And answering as "that's how it is" is terrible for a software company. That should never be the answer. This is a HUGE step backwards and it takes SO much more time to enter a card in the backlog now. There was no reason to get rid of this inline functionality.

@Martin FronekIt appears that it was a bug and it has been resolved, as I am now able to create inline issues from the backlog in the company managed projects. Could you please verify this on your end?
