Did you install it as a service? If you forgot to check the box to run it as a service you can find the instructions to manually set it up here. If you decided not to run it as a service you have to start it by running the start_jira.bat file in the install directory under bin. Once you run it you will see a separate Tomcat window.

Hi Mikael,

I have uninstalled the JIRA and again installed to run as service. But again I am getting This page can’t be displayed error.

I am seeing that Atlassian JIRA service is running in services.

Okay, take a look at your Jira logs and see if you can find anything in them for why Jira has not started correctly.

Hi Mikael,

I started JIRA as http://127.0.0.1:8080. It Ran successfully.

But one problem is that I have purchased starter license of 10 users of JIRA then do I need to download the JIRA Server edition.

No, you do not have to download anything else, just enter the license key during the setup of your instance, that will give you access the the features that you purchased.

Hi Mikael,

Please guide me.

Thanks

Deepak

What do you see when you go to http://127.0.0.1:8080?

When you first access Jira you should see the setup options, the first screen should ask you about setup options. Next it will ask you about what database to use, then you will be prompted to setup your application properties, and after that it will ask for your license key as outlined in the install instructions

DEEPAK BHATIA September 14, 2018

No it doesn't ask me all these. It goes to the login page and if I enter my credentials, then I can enter the JIRA.

Okay, so to enter your license key just go to Administration > Applications and select Versions & licenses. Here you should be able to enter your license key. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver072/licensing-your-jira-applications-828788123.html
