My name is Erik, and I'm writing to you regarding an investigation of the carbon footprint of our company Kivra Oy. We are currently gathering data of how our carbon dioxide emissions are formed by using different external services.

We use Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) at our company and I'm wondering, is it possible to request for some data over our personal carbon footprint that is caused when we use the service? Is there a generic investigation (public) on your company, where we could estimate how large the carbon footprint is on average? Is there maybe even company specific (our company's) information?

Hi Erik,

I understand you are concerned about the carbon footprint of using our services.  We have dedicated a section of our website to sustainability that has helpful information on the topic.  Included on this page is the current Sustainability report.  I recommend reading that pdf report as it explains for FY20 and FY21 we have run our operations on 100% renewable electricity.

In 2019 we publicly committed to combating climate change, and again in 2020 we announced our plan for a net-zero future.
