Background: we have a user access project where we log requests to grant/remove access for internal users. This project has a lot of fast moving tasks and we are considering to implement a release to our process each month to make sure the board doesn't get slowed down.
However, the board is already set to hide resolved issues after a week, so my question is if the release will actually bring any benefits? Or is this in fact the same thing as both options "hide" the resolved issues?
If we take reporting out of the question and just focusing on tidiness and performance of the board
Hi @Patricia Johansson ,
If you are not actually working on software where you are creating versions and releasing the content then "Release" provides no value to you. BTW, I assume that you are using a Kanban board here and not a scrum board. With that said, depending on your actual requirements, you may wish to change the board filter to exclude issues resolved more than "X" days ago. Unless I am mistaken, the "hide completed issues older than" works off of "updated". So if someone edits an old "Done" issue then it will reappear. At least that is how it worked the last time I checked.
Perfect, I kinda thought that was the deal but couldn't find documentation on it. This is regarding a Kanban board yes.
Thanks for the response!
