Hello,
In Jira ServiceDesk I have clear that I need to set Resolution by several important reasons but...
I started to work with SCRUM with TODO / INPROGRESS / DONE.
When I move to done, I should set resolution? I have to do? It is necessary?
Best regards.
For the boards, no, the resolution is not important. But the rest of Jira does use resolution. So we have an odd situation where you need to consider two different ways to say "this is done".
Your board column definitions give you "done" by having the status in the right-hand column. Decide which status you need to be "done" and make sure you ask your people for, or set a resolution on transitions going into those, and clear it on the way to non-done status. (I'd also colour them green for done too). If you keep the two aligned, then the non-Software reporting continues to work well.
I believe you can do some automation to set the resolution automatically when the card is moved to the done column
