Is it possible to Edit the User story number as per our requirement

Hi team,

When we import issues into jira from a csv file is it possible to create the user story numbers as desired for us rather than the auto numbering that appears in JIRA?

Example: E2SR-13 Ability to create something.

I need the E2SR-13 which is auto generated while importing to be the Story ID i prefer as ABC-1

As @Trudy Claspill said you can't, however a workaround you can setup of a custom field and when importing assign the number you want to the custom field.  I've used this several times when importing something from another source where you want to keep that number for reference.

No, that is not possible. The issue number is based on the Key of the project (E2SR in your case), a dash, and an automatically assigned sequential number.
