Is it possible to add a text field to epics requesting One Custom Field ?

Hello All,

We have one Custom Field called "Internal Project Code".

So now, is it possible to add a text field to epics requesting this "Internal Project Code", then this code would be added automatically to the epic title and all the linked user stories, tasks and sub tasks title ?

Hi @Sahish , if I understand your question here, you wish to append the summary of various issues with the value of your custom field. For this you would need do you some form of automation or script. In cloud I would use automation (formerly Automation for Jira which is available as an add-on for server). With this said, the actual answer to your specific scenario depends on what add-on if any you might have.

Hi @Jack Brickey , thanks for the reply. We are using Script Runner Plug in for scripts and automation. May I know, is it possible with this plug-in?

Hi @Sahish , I’m confident it would be though I have not attempted. I recommend search the Community (Scriptrunner append summary) and also check the Scriptrunner docs. If you don’t have any luck let me know. I will check with colleagues to see if they can chime in.
