Is it possible to change JIRA Comment Box format

Currently we don't have style menu in JIRA comment box like changing format, BOLD, Italic, Underline option.

Which version of Jira Server do you use? I'm using Jira Server 8.14.1 and have the ability to change the format of a comment:

We are using 8.4.3 on premise server and we don't have this option. Any idea how to enable this?

Hi @RG ,

Please check your field configuration for field Comment. Go to Jira administration area and click on the Issues.

Then choose Field configuration in the left column. Look for Comment field type in the list. If the default text renderer is set (like below) you won't be able to format any comments.

Click on Renderers on the right and switch to "Wiki Style Renderer". Then click on Update.
