Hello,
We're currently managing our teams using JIRA Cloud, and to make the ticket creation easier, is it possible to create a ticket using the new fields added to a ticket ?
And is it possible de associate the ticket to an Epic when the ticket is beeing created ?
Sincerly,
If by "new fields added to a ticket" you mean add custom fields to your tickets, yes it is possible. You need to configure screens that include the new fields you want to show.
To be simple, you need to make an edition/view screen and a creation screen, then you make a screen scheme for each issue. Finally you create a issue type screen scheme that you can link to a project.
You can also for example add the field Epic Name or Epic link to a ticket when configuring the screen in the creation screen.
Do you need more information to try that ?
Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
I don't see the way to make an edition/view screen and a creation screen. The only options I see on my project settings are:
-Details
- Access
- Issue Type
- Notifications
- Features
- Apps
Could you tell me where I could find the options you are talking about ?

You can find it by typing "gg" when on any page of Jira (it's a shortcut) and typing Screens. Or you can click on the wheel in the top right hand corner and click on the section Issues. The Screen menu will be on the left of the page.
If you do not see this wheel, you are not the administrator of Jira and your options will be limited.

Sorry for the wait,
After typing 'gg' and searching 'Screens' it appears that there is no match.
Is it linked to the offer we took ?

I Massil.
I don't know if your problem is solved. If you can't see Screens in the GG shortcut, it might be because you are not admin of Jira. Could you check this please ?
Let me know if you succeeded in solving your problem.

Hello,
It's not solved, but I found the cause of the problem. I was using a next gen project which didn't have enough options.
So I switched everything to a new class project.
Sincerely,
