My organization has various departments that track their projects in Jira, and a level below the domain would help in tracking department-level projects while at the same time being able to view the enterprise-level projects under our domain.
Has anyone ever tried to create this level in their organization?
It's not possible, each Cloud site is made up of a single Jira and/or Confluence.
Also, a Jira can only exist in one place at a time.- you can't put project A on one domain and project B in another on the same Jira.
Best you can do here is use project categories to tell people where each project lands, but that doesn't give you any functions other than being able to search for issues in a category without having to know and use the whole list of projects in there.
Hi @Ken ,
Hearing you talk about a need to track things at an enterprise level and a department level makes me think you might be a good candidate for Advanced Roadmaps (or maybe the app Structure).
A good place to start for Advanced Roadmaps is here: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/guides/roadmaps/advanced-roadmaps
