Hello,
We are currently implementing some of our business processes in to JIRA.
For a special project there are various fields categorised in tab in the issue (create/edit/view) screen. Some of these fields contain classified infromations, which only a few people should be able to see.
Now our product owner asked if its possible to set permissions for tabs which contain fields with classified information. Is this possible?
Currently I can only set an issue security level - but thats for the whole issue but the other tabs should still be visible for users without classified permission. An other way is to set field permission via an addon.
Now I want to know if there's a third way to accomplish a tab-permission.
thanks in advance!
Hello @Hernan Halabi - Elite IT Consulting Group
thanks for your advice!
We decided to go with the "Secure Fields" Add-on, because it has less impact on our JIRA instance.
Thanks :)
Mike

Not out of the box. The tabs are there for human sorting convenience, JIRA is treating it as one screen and doesn't have a way to apply security to a specific field. I would look for a plugin that allowed tab security or field level security. Scripting may work.
